The Unstoppable

Ray started officially walking today.....and as parents, this is an extremely important milestone as we will be expecting more troubles as this little adventurer set his feet forward. He is simply unstoppable.

With his left arm stretched out, we thought initially that he wanted us to hold his hand. But the moment we held his hand, he swinged it free and after a few tries, we realised he was using his left arm to balance.

Err...dont ask me abt he is saying, all i know the louder he screamed, the faster he went.

Renovation Home Sweet Home

We bought our first apartment in Year 2004 and we spent minimum renovating it as we were going away to Abu Dhabi for 18 months as pa pa mui was posted to there to work.

This is the Theatre room where we had so many DVD nights with friends and families. Watching our favourite movies like Driven and Gladigator.

With the new addtional of Ray, everything has been kept to a minmum fearing that he might bum into this and that. Alot of furnitures were turning into displays.

The balcony was the reason why we bought this place and its also the reason why we are renovating cos Ray is spending way too much time out there.

The renovation should take abt 6 weeks and we shall update again with the new look soon.

09 May 2009

I have been juggling work, a mom, a wife and a housewife for a good few months now. So far i am quite impressed with myself, except for the occassion dust on the bedside tables and windows. Not forgetting the dirt under the table and of cos under the sofa too.....i wonder how my mom managed to raise 4 children in the past.

Ray is starting to move around now, so it is extremely dangerous that he might just pull something off the table or even curtains etc. So we have to keep him within sight. So when i cooked, i put him into his cot and dragged him to the kitchen as he watched me perform my culinary skills.

And when he gets bored...he entertain by throwing stuff out...and the best part is...watching me throw it back to him.

First Attempt To Walk - 14 months

Ray has started to show sign of wanting to walk independently. And tonight he show case his ability by taking a few small steps, just to have a feel. Both pa pa mui and i were both excited, almost brimming with tears. Our Ray is finally going to walk!! The above is him attempting to stand without any assistance.

Above is his 2nd attempt at walking....getting there! A mere 3 seconds and see how many steps he has walked. He will be a runner in no time....kekeke.

First Holiday - Star Cruise

It has been a long long time since we went on a holiday. So we decided to try out on a cruise and let Ray spend some time with his grandparents, dai pak and pak leong and of cos...to celebrate ma ma mui's birthday.

What is cruise without good food right? So the moment we checked into our room, we gathered and ventured off to find food.

We got the room with balcony as we have never stay in one before and they were doing promotion. Look at Ray and how he is enjoying the vast sea.

And of cos...the pool!! Look at the father and son having fun. Ok not so fun cos Ray was dying to get into the pool but pa pa mui insisted on the pictures first. Thats why Ray was looking so vexed.

Of cos the highlight of this 2D2N cruise was my birthday celebration. Pa pa mui ordered a cake specially made for me on the cruise as part of the birthday celebration as a surprise for me.

Oh....i am 1 year older again

The Gift Of Love

We were cracking our brains trying to decide what to buy Ray as his first birthday. Something that would last.....something meaningful, something that he can hold and look at when he grows older. That is when we decided on a silver spoon from Tiffany. You can never be too young to have something from Tiffany.

Here's Ray checking his new gift out....

And the finished product after we got it engraved.

We believe that this spoon will bring him happy memories and that he will always be happy.

Crazy Family

We are getting insane....from what? Every weekend, we searched high and low for clothes that we can coordinate with Ray, may it be color, stripes etc. It has become a habit for both ma ma and pa pa mui.

I was quite appalled with the dressing alike idea, but since having Ray, it has given me a new prospective...like telling pple that we are a family. But.....i still get people asking me if ray is a boy or gal.....even when he is dressed in BLUE!!

Who cares really, it has been 12 months already so i have given up being upset when pple said he is a gal. He is my baby anyway.
