First Tourist Attraction

Armed with two FREE Singapore Flyer tickets, we decided to take Ray to ride out the Singapore Flyer together for the first time.

We were all very excited, or rather the parents ie me and pa pa mui were both very excited cos we are taking the ride for the 1st time and we are expecting Ray to be enjoying it as much as we should.

Here's me and Ray looking at the F1 race track which will be right into action come Sept becos of the first ever night F1 race and its in Singapore!! Yeah Yeah!!

And no outing is complete w/o a family potrait.....

And we continued to watch the scenary and thats when it started drizzing and Ray fell asleep through the entire ride....talking abt his first tourist attraction.

Ask me if i enjoy the ride? I think Ray has provided the answer.....

1 Month Of Be Be Pod

Well well....Ray has been sitting in the Be Be Pod for almost a month now. Time to show off what he can do now....ta da....

And looking every bit like a Towkay (boss).

Now he is able to sit in that chair without support from either one of us and he can spend quite some time jus sitting there, glazing slowly at the Be Be Pod. Sometimes i wonder what is so amazing abt that chair that captures his attention.

Monthly Immunisation

Ray is already 4 month 1 week now and we took him for his immunisation at the polyclinic. As usual, we are very anxious to find out just how much he weighs now. It is a bit of strain to carry him now, and i have to advise anyone who wants to carry him to practise first before attempting, trust me.

He is now 64cm and 8.5kg....another 1.5kg to go and he will be weighing like a sack of rice!! No wonder we feel the strain. Strange enough, he didnt cry when he was being jab this time round but he did suffer a wee bit of fever and swellness at the jab point. And he was his usual smiley self nevertheless.

Now i understand when pple used to tell me that the worry of having children is never ending....from the pregnancy to the growing up process...the worry just goes on and on.....

Almost Naked and Sacred

This picture was taken when Ray was just 6 days away from his 4th Month. Looking every bit cuddly and lovely. I have heard alot of times comment from people that all day of hard work will just diminish when you look at your own child. I must admit it is so true.

There are days when both of us are tired from work and it just takes ONE smile from Ray and it will brighten up our lives and remind us that we are bless to have a smiley baby like him.

Raising a baby is never easy, let alone raising him the right way. There has been conversations who will be the devil and who will be the angel but we both agreed that we just take everything at one step at a time and face it when its here.

Seriously, no point setting out 101 rules when you are raising a baby who will soon have a mind of his own.

Childhood is precious so we must let him enjoy it freely and happily, no point setting rules that none of us can meet and then let everyone down.

4 Month - Celebration

My family has a traditional that we still practice till this day when the baby turns 4th Month. Ray is 4 month today, time really passes by so quickly when you are enjoying it on every single day.

The 4 mth celebration is to actually to mark an important milestone as the baby can now start to eat solid food in supplement of milk. And in this first picture, u see Ray making a fashion statement with the biscuits around his neck.
Then i have to let them chew on the biscuits and then break the biscuits off and share them. There is meaning to this because the 1st part where he chews on the biscuits is to stop excessive drooling. Then the breaking off and sharing part is so that Ray will learn how to share in the future and not be a selfish person. Well...let's see how it goes.

Next up....the drumstick!! The one that Ray has been waiting for...as illustrated in the picture. And look at his face that said "Give Me Give Me" look.

The idea here is to let Ray touch just tip of the drumstick and the story behind this is that Ray will have a glib of tongue and also to mark the starting of MEAT eating. Most of the time, Ray will stare intensively at the camera. But today, he only have eyes for the drumstick.

Drumstick drumstick....look what u have done.

4th Wedding Anniversary

Today marks an important day in our lives...not only are we celebrating the 4th anniversary of our ROM, we are also celebrating the creation day of Ray. Yes...thats right, Ray was created on 4th Aug 2007 at Banyan Tree Bintan. We took the day off and went shopping followed by a nice high tea at Marriot.

Here's Ray talking to himself. Well, actually technically speaking, he doesnt know its himself. He just thinks that it is another baby per se.

And i hardly shop these days cos everyday we will rush home to pick Ray up to spend some quality time together as a family. So when there is an opportunity, I waste no time....and so is Ray as he fell asleep in that strong and secure arms of pa pa mui. These days Ray has been doing a lot of power nap where he naps for a few mintues and he will be up and alive, entertaining us again.

And here they are, father and son reading the newspaper together at Marriot while i pig out.

And to add icing to this special day...pa pa mui brought me to the "little turquoise box" shop to pick up a new pair of rings....hee hee, cos the old wedding band is abit tight for me so i no longer wear it.

PS: Note the change of clothes for Ray...he poo BIG TIME and ruin his outfit.

Roll Over - 3 months 4 weeks

Oh My....Ray has developed a new skill, and that is roll over. The moment he feels a flat surface, he will try to twist his body and neck to get into the 'tummy time' position. But he still requires a little assistance every now and then.

So now both of us are very watchful of him cos Ray will always attempt tummy time even when we just walked away for a mere 10 secs to wash our hands. We will still let him do when he likes but we will leave him in the middle of the bed so that he will not fall off the edge.
