Holiday?

With the due date of the baby getting closer, we have to make a list of a "To Bring" items just in case we might need it when we are in the hospital. My attitude is very laid back as i know i can get anything from the KK Hospital but pa pa mui wants every details down so that he will not miss out anything. *roll eyes* i mean we are still in the country and its not as if we are travelling out of the country to deliver this baby. Arrgghh....anyway he made 2 lists - 1 for himself and 1 for me and he kept bugging what else i would need. Seriously....i dont know either cos its my first baby!!

I was fuming in bed trying to get a nap when i heard pa pa mui going.....SHIRT checked, CAMERA checked, SPARE BATTERY checked, it was as if we are going on a holiday instead.

Wishy Washy

Finally, we have managed to wash all the clothings that Phieng Phieng will need to wear for the first few weeks after his birth. The washing was easy as we just dumped everything into the machine, but when the clothes were ready to be hang, i panic!! Why? Cos its so tiny!! its like 1/5 of our normal clothing.

And pa pa mui came to the rescue as he happily hang out the clothes with a grin on his face.

I am still here....

Hello people, in case u are wondering where i have been. Nope, i have not deliver and i am still waiting for the day to come as well. Just getting lazier, thats all.

Last Tue was another routine checkup at the hospital. Phieng Phieng is now 2.6kg and we have no idea how tall he is cos he was all curved up and all we can see is his belly. But one thing for sure, he is enjoying his "kickboxing" these days as it has more PUNCH to it now. Ouchie....He is having less space in the water bag now and accordingly to the experts, my body will re-absorb the amniotic acid ie i will be super floated like a WHALE!! Tell me about it....my legs feel like it has water. Err...just like u have gone thru a flood in your shoes and u feel the water in ur socks, get it? Its not a pleasant feeling, i must say.

Another few more weeks and we will have this little fella in our arms.....pure heaven huh? I'll let u know, in weeks to come. Wish us LUCK!!

You are my sunshine....

It has been raining for days in Spore although it supposed to be all sunny and hot now. Finally on Sat, there was rays of sun and pa pa mui and i decided to hang out at his bro's place to get some sun.

Armed with magazines and a coconut....

There is a old wive's tale that said that few weeks before the baby's due date, the preggie mom will have to drink a coconut juice per week so that the baby's scalp will be clean. I mean how hard is that right - drinking coconut juice that is.

Preggie Moms Food Hunt

Friday....the 3 hot ma ma ventured in Holland V for a meet up. Trying just a wee bit to blend in, we headed to Breko to get our carbo fixed but seriously all we wanted is just the ice cream place that we will be heading off after the dinner.

As we walked down the stairs, with me first, mio and evon following closely behind, i felt eyes were on us. I bet it must have a rare treat to see 3 preggie moms hanging out together.

Next stop, the ice cream place....where we took silly pic of our bellies.

Antenatal Class

Tue....class again. With the tummy getting bigger, all i want is to head off and put my legs up and have a good sleep. But we have enrolled ourselves in the antenatal class at KK hospital so i pushed myself to go and pa pa mui tagged along to understand more abt the birth process.

Intially the class was boring.....but it got into more details and more and more grossy details are revealed abt birth. Ohh...i started to feel queasy and i felt really uncomfortable to one point i thought i was going to faint.

We left before the 2nd part of the class started....and suddenly on the car, i have this strong craving for Cheng Teng.

Mr Muscle

My colleague has given Phieng Phieng a new nick and that is Mr Muscle. I must say it suit Phieng Phieng to a T cos lately his kicks and punches has got such a powerful force. Just ask pa pa mui, he was punched again last night.

My appetitie has increased over the last 2 weeks, i dont know if its me or the baby but i have this constant need to eat, especially sweet stuff. Oh gosh....i have already piled on 13kg and i think the scale is only going up not down. Ice cream is the top priority list now above all food, and i am going crazy surfing all the ice cream sites. Just looking at the websites can set me H-I-G-H.

The more food/ drink i consume, the lesser space in my tummy so Phieng Phieng will kick in protest, like right now as i type away.

We are really counting down to the DAY!!

Braxton Hicks

The title is not a song, neither is it a up and coming brand nor the name of Phieng Phieng. It is a kind of false contradiction or rather the body is preparing for the REAL contradiction by having a practice better known as Braxton Hicks.

Yesterday, i was walking around the mall alone, pa pa mui was in another shop and as i slowly exited from the shop to go look for pa pa mui, i found strangers readily giving way to me and apologising to me. I think it could be the pain of my face which i have unknowingly displayed or the posture that i was walking indicating great pain.

Whatever it is...accordingly to the books, its supposed to be PAINLESS and it will lasts 30 secs but it think its a pack of lies, i felt it and its PAINFUL. Ok ok...abit of exaggeration here but it was intense and very uncomfortable.

Tag Team

Every so often the issue of tagging the baby at birth would come up during our conversations. I would constantly remind pa pa mui to make sure that OUR baby be properly and correctly tag. Here's one of our very first conversation:

Ma ma: Can you please make sure that the doctor put the right tag on our baby as i imagine the whole delivery suite to be in a chaotic manner?
Pa pa: Dont worry, of cos i will.
Ma ma: (sigh of relief) Ok ok, you promise?
Pa pa: Yes....i will not let history repeat itself.
Ma ma: What history?
Pa pa: You!!

Everyone who have seen my mom knows that i look totally different from her and i am nothing like my dad either, well ok ok except for the tan skin part.

Damm.....is it true then?

56 more days or lesser....

Well well...it is really getting serious now. We are counting down to receiving our Phieng Phieng. Pa pa mui and i have so many talks about who Phieng Phieng will look like and we have so many dreams that Phieng Phieng would turn out looking just like his dad. Well....initially i wasn't quite happy about it but a look at our childhood photos convinced me totally.

Here's presenting Pa pa mui....

Presenting Ma ma mui...

I think the pictures has spoken for themselves.....and i rest my case.

More Class To Go

Alright...call us kiasu or whatever you like but in order to prepare ourselves mentally and physically for the arrival of Phieng Phieng, we have signed up with another class program at KK Hospital. This program is more elaborate as it takes you from the 1st trimester of your pregnancy to the preparation of labour. Some classes have theory and some with practical. Today, we show u the practical lesson.

This is the first stage of labour or what i called it the denial mode. When u feel the contradiction kicking in, DO NO rush to the hospital. We are supposed to convince ourselves that its coming but there is no urgency so i have to do some "RELAXING" exercise to cope with the contradiction. But look at me, 8 months only and i am already feeling the strain of this exercise.

Then the class got a little boring and we decided to take pics to pass our time.

And this...

The other classmates were giving us the "What the heck" look...i think pa pa mui and i are losing it.
